Literary Department
The Literary Department of the Lisa Richards Agency accepts fiction, non-fiction, children's books, screen and stage plays. No reading fee.
Fiction (Adult and Children's)
Authors should submit the first 2-3 chapters of their work, a short synopsis and an s.a.e. for return of their material if necessary. (International Postal Coupons are essential for material submitted from outside of Ireland.) No short stories, fantasy, science fiction.
Non-fiction:
Authors should submit a detailed proposal and a sample chapter. Screen and stage plays: a treatment and the first act are required. Biography, memoir, history, politics, current affairs, travel, popular culture.
Commission Rates:
Ireland only: 10%
Ireland and U.K 15%
U.S: 20%
Translation 20% - Our foreign rights are handled by the Marsh Agency, London
Film/TV 15%
