John
Henderson is a writer, a comedian, an actor, a matador
and a liar. He has been thrilling audiences across Europe with his own
brand of guff (Henderson's Guff ®TM)
for the last eight years.
"Comedy
at it's best.'"-
Edinburgh Evening News
Sure
what do Journalists know? What do real people think?
"The
cleverest comedy I've ever seen without being up it's own arse"
- Johnny Vegas
John's
first radio series, 'Henderson's History of the World', was broadcast
on RTE Radio 1 and due to its phenomenal success he was commissioned
a second series - 'Henderson's History of the World Pt 2'.
"Like
Monty Python in their heyday, praise indeed" -
Hot Press
John's
first foray into radio was a half hour special for BBC radio 4. It was
based on his live sketch show.
"Sketches
that make Monty Python look like Bernard Manning"
- The Irish Times
Hmm
is all this Python stuff relevant or are journalists just lazy? John's
other credits as a writer include RTE's 'The Lounge', 'The Jason Byrne
Show' and 'Stand Up Sketches'Sketches' as well as the 'Jason Byrne I
Hate' show for BBCNI. His list of TV appearances reads like...well most
other Irish comedians. RTE's 'Couched', RTE's 'The Lounge' and 'The
Liffey Laughs', BBC's 'The Empire Laughs Back', BBC's 'Comedy Nation,
Channel 4's 'Comedy Lab, RTE's 'Jason Byrne Show' and Channel 4's 'Father
Ted' among others.
"Top
Stuff" -
The List.
Due
to the migraines caused by listening to the steaming offal that sometimes
passes for stand-up comedy these days, John took a break from club performing
last year. Now he's back, talking about all manner of new malarkey.
See it now, on top of a pile of offal near you.
"Fabulously
Inventive"
- The Sunday Times.
"Buy
the ticket, I've seen the future" -
Edinburgh Evening News.
John
Henderson lives in Dublin where he devotes much of his time to crossing
roads.
