Since 2003 Jarlath has been making audiences all over Ireland and the U.K. howl with laughter at his inspired one-liners and razor-sharp observations. In 2004 he was catapulted to prominence by qualifying for and competing in the final of the BBC and Channel 4 new comedy awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Today he is fast becoming recognised as “one to watch” in the new generation of sharp and exciting comedians emerging from Ireland.

2006 was his breakout year. Supporting Ardal O’Hanlon on his tour of Ireland Jarlath wowed the expectant crowds. He also took part in the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival and appeared alongside Tommy Tiernan in the Irish Gala performance at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Canada.

An accomplished master of ceremonies, Jarlath is constantly in demand to host college events, corporate functions, charity fundraisers and many of the top comedy clubs in Ireland.

As a writer Jarlath has worked extensively in radio and television. He is a regular contributor to the top rated late night talk show Tubridy Tonight and provided material for Ardal O’Hanlon’s recent tour of the U.K. In 2007 he can be seen on RTE 2 in a series of comedy sketches on the award winning science show Scope.
