At the Abbey and Peacock theatres, Gertrude has appeared in 'Treehouses' by Liz Kuti, 'Blackwater Angel' by Jim Nolan, The 'Melonfarmer' by Alex Johnston, 'Double Helix' in association with Bickerstaffe Theatre company at the Peacock and most recently as Amelia in 'The House Of Bernada Alba' by Lorca, directed by Martin Drury for the Abbey. Other theatre work includes 'The Beloved' by Ken Bourke, Project, Derek Mahon?s 'Phaedra' at the Gate Theatre, Edward Albee?s '3 Tall Women', Andrew?s Lane Studio, Mary Elizabeth Burke Kennedy?s adaptation of 'Hard Times' with Storytellers Theatre Company, 'Carshow 2000' Meeting House Square for Corn Exchange, 'Couch', Bewleys Theatre and 'Still' for Fishamble Theatre company at Meeting House Square. Film and television includes '@Last TV', 'Lovers Leap' (RTE), 'Sweeney Todd', 'Any Time Now' (BBCNI) and 'Best'. Radio includes six episodes of ''Roadshow' (RTE) and 'Gertrude?s Afternoon Service' on Jazz (89.8)FM.
Gertrude has appeared as Aine in all four series "The Clinic" of the popular TV drama series produced by Parallel Films for RTE.
