Biography

Padraic graduated with a BA in Theatre Studies from TCD in 2001. His theatre appearances since then include Hamlet in Hamlet at the Cork Opera House, The Yalta Game at the Gate Theatre, A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Civic Theatre, The Hollow in the Sand for Blue Raincoats Theatre and This Lime Tree Bower for The Machine.
Film and television credits include: Pure Mule (Accomplice/RTE), The Cove (TG4) and The Clinic (Parallel/RTE).
Padraic appeared in the leading role of Teddy in Ken Loach's The Wind That Shakes the Barley opposite Cillian Murphy which won the Palm D'Or at Cannes 2006. Padraic also appeared in the leading role of Fridge in Legend a new mini-series by Ken Harmon for Igloo FIlms/RTE later that year. Padraic recently completed filming his second season in the role of George Boyeln in The Tudors with Jonathan Rhys Meyers for Showtime/Working Title. Padraic was nominated as one the Berlin International Film Festival's Shooting Stars 2007 and for and Irish Film and Television Award for his role as Teddy in The Wind That Shakes The Barley.
Padraic most recently appeared as Father Flynn in a critically acclaimed production of Doubt: A Parable directed by Nicholas Kent at the Tricycle Theatre, London.
