Adam Fergus
Biography
-
Born in Drogheda, Adam studied at UCD and trained at the Gaiety School of Acting, Dublin. While in college Adam appeared in a number of Dramsoc productions including A Streetcar Named Desire and The Shawl, and his Gaiety School appearances include Joe in Lovers and Howie in Howie The Rookie.
Since leaving college Adam has appeared in Kilt at Andrew's Lane, A Midsummer's Night Dream at the Civic Theatre, Tallaght and The Illusion in the Project Arts Centre. Film and television credits include: Proof (RTE), Declan in Damien O'Donnells feature film Inside I'm Dancing and a recent appearance in series III of The Clinic(Parallel Films/RTE).
Adam made his first appearance for the Gate Theatre, Dublin as Con Doherty in Adrian Noble's acclaimed production of Brian Friels' new play The Homeplace with Tom Courtenay and in the West End transfer of the same production at the Comedy Theatre, London. Since then Adam has appeared as Tom in Rachel West's production The System in the Project Arts Centre, Dublin and as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2006. Adam also appeared as Stephen in Thesis directed by David Parnell for Guna Nua Theatre Company in the Civic Theatre, Tallaght and on tour.
Adam is currently appearing as Seamus Doogan (lead) in Trouble in Paradise a new TV mini-series produced by Great Western Films for RTE2.
